"Lovely hotel in a great location. Beautiful grounds and great service. We paid extra for the “red level” which entitled us to a private lounge that had food and drink out available for a good part of the day, nice quality! The room we had was a little dated, unexpected for that level but over all very comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. The breakfast in the morning was amazing! We enjoyed our stay here. "

"Los Monteros is an older style 5 star Hotel, it originally dates from 1963. There are parts which could do with a refresh, but it has a certain mid century charm that I like and the staff and service are excellent. The breakfast is good too. Our room dated from about 2002, but was still very clean and spacious. The beach club which is separate from the Hotel was a bit of a dissapointment, and all at extra cost, pretentious, but without the service to match and all seems a bit of a rip off when...

"This hotel is a gem on the seafront in Marbella town. The location cannot be beaten with a 5 minute walk to the old town with its bars and restaurants. The rooms have a kitchenette with all you need for a short stay. Highly recommended "

"I had a 'Superior Apartment' which was at the front overlooking the beach which was great. The room was perfectly equiped to self cater with a small kitchen in the living area and a large terrace outside with both table and chairs and sun loungers. There was a bit of a musty smell as I walked in. Perhaps there had been a smoker there before me (It would benefit from a fresh paint job and a deep clean of upholstery). "Reached the apartment early evening and took us around 1 hour to find it. We have a hired car and could not find the car park as it turned out it was at the back. Even staff at don carlos hotel do not know. Then finding the apartment itself is a maze. No proper signages and as you can imagine worse when it is dark. The woman at reception was a bit rude. Hired pool towels for the day at 10 Euros each but they will keep the money and you will only get it the day before your flight"
