Beautiful and historic property. We enjoyed learning about the history of the hotel and its location in relation to the hawaiian royalty. Excellent service. We stayed in the ocean view room in the Diamond ring- somewhat outdated wing but the ocean view made up for it. The balcony seemed a little sketch at first but seemed to be durable enough while we were there, lol. Restaurant was nice, cool Banyan tree right down in the middle of the hotel property. Overall, excellent hotel, would love to come back again in the future!

Great location for Waikiki. Hotel is dated. Bathroom is tiny. Drain in shower terrible. Zero parking anywhere with all the construction therefore forced to valet car. Takes upwards of 30 min to get car from valet and they charge $65 to valet. Not sure what the $40 resort fee is all about. Do they think they are Vegas? Expensive food and drinks. No value of any kind. But you are paying for the prime location. Great ocean view, great staff. Be prepared for very expensive stay in a very old hotel. Still had a great holiday.

The staff was beyond exceptional. There lady who cleaned our room, I think her name was Edith, she was FANTASTIC! The staff at the pool area as well. Even the guys who went and got the vehicles were on point. Not to mention the front desk! Overall just great staff through and through!!

We have been visiting Moana surf rider for 30 years. We love it there! The only disappointment was they didn't offer room service. All other hotels post Covid have resumed this service. Quite surprised Moana surf rider hasn't.

Room itself was standard and balcony is not accessible but location cannot be beat. Beautiful beach is right outside and every restaurant and shopping place you can think of is in walking distance.

The Moana Surfrider cannot be beat for its location, historical character, ambience, and views. The staff are friendly and helpful. Make sure to rent an umbrella or cabana and spend the day feeling pampered while enjoying the sand and surf. This hotel made our first visit to Hawaii a memorable one - for all of the right reasons! We hope to be back.
