Despite feeling initially aggrieved, the welcome I received and the overall standard of the hotel soon extinguished any negativity. The hotel would have been out of our budget normally but our apartment booking with VRBO did not exist on their site, so they have us a choice of hotels to stay for 1 night. The hotel was much further away from where we thought and the breakfast was not included... So we invited a lot of extras costs. It did feel like the hotel was under occupied.... Like no one in the bar. If I'd been paying for the hotel I would have pointed...
