Do not stay at this hotel. They are not at all flexible, even in situations that they should. Poor management from the top down. There are great choices in that area - avoid this hotel at all costs.

Great view from windows. Comfortable beds. Well appointed en-suite but could benefit from hand hold in shower. Also plumbing was very noisy. Very helpful staff and beautiful sitting are on ground floor. Over all a lovely place to stay and very close to historic and interesting places to visit and many good places to eat.

Great location on a quiet street right off the Royal Mile. Steps away from St Giles Cathedral and very close to Grassmarket. Easy walk to Waverley station. Would advise using a cab to the hotel if you have large bags as uphill walk can be tough. Much easier to go downhill. Rooms were great and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel boasts the best location for tourists among branded hotels in Royal Mile Edinburgh. We took a three-day hiking trip to Loch Ness and came back at 6pm. The drop-off point at Lawnmarket is just 2 minutes walking from the hotel, so that we still had a lot of time in early evening to revisit the Edinburgh old town center. On the second day, we had to take an early flight back to Seattle, and the airlink stop to the airport was just 10 minutes walking from the hotel.
