Overall is acceptable but some areas for improvement. Example, the wifi in the room is not strong enough. The TV program is too localised.

Great location, walking distance to subway or center, staff are very nice and helpful, they made a small error of my booking dates, but it get resolved at the end, the room is clean ,spacious, nice staff, overall, I am happy to come back again

Located on top of a hill and close (walking distance) to the trains and Jeifangbei (high end shopping). plenty of cabs available in front if you don't want to walk. Concierge desk and front desk were very helpful in helping us arrange private tours and car service. Comfortable room and bed. not noisy and elevators were fast (even when there was some sort of convention at the same time as our stay (we didn't have to wait for elevator for a long time) check-in / check-out was smooth and friendly.

Emily Liu is the best! She helped me and my husband experience the bests of the city of Chengdu. Emily connected us on WeChat and buying opera tickets and book dinner reservation for us. Also, gave us lots of her recommendations.

Great J.W. Marriott hotel. I stayed there for one night. Room was very clean and well stocked. Fitness center had plenty of treadmills, exercise bikes, weight machines, and dumbbells. Indoor infinity pool area was clean and relaxing. Definitely stay there again.

unfair treatment
first night check in around 7:30pm and original I booked executive room with city view but the reception told me executive floor full and upgrade us to apartment which on 8th floor. same day my friends they arrived mid night but they can have same type of room on 28 floor room 2801 which I was shocked because I was checked in few hrs earlier than them but said no room. on that 0805 room no view at all although have kitchen but no use for us also living room no TV ...so next morning I went down request to change the room...so finally on the second day pm changed to room 2125 which much comfortable and good view. feel unfair treatment between me and my friends. also I feel down grade us instead of upgrade.

Swimming pool requires use of swimming cap. Unfortunatrly, a cap was not available free or for pay. We could not use the pool. This could easily be remedied by providing or selling caps.

There is no available room when I checked in as I requested kingsize bed... So only I can get conner smoking room which is small and smelly. And after 2 days later I can change the better room which I originally booked.......

Food quality and variety of 28/F Lounge are totally unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. They don’t match international standards. Staff at the lounge can be more attentive. Front desk staff are excellent. Location is very good. Food supply control might have gone wrong. The brestfast cold meat and hot dishes are all below standard.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great. But the service at the Executive Lounge has gone done. There were not much choices for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Wonderful! The receptionists were mindful of the queue of the check-in guests. Rejected kindly of the local guests who stormed straight to the counter. Check-out was pleasant and swift.

Good option in Chongqing!
I arrived late at night and only spent a few hours in this hotel, to be fair. The price of the hotel was pretty reasonable. The staff was great and the rooms were very nice. However, the hotel car service is extremely expensive, so arrange a taxi or local driver if you can.

One of the best in the best city of China
Chongqing got the most friendly people in China - in itself an amazing city. The Marriott stands out from that high level - friendly faces, help provided with pleasure if needed - a true MARRIOTT experience.

American in Chongqing, China.
I had an excellent stay at the JW Marriott hotel. I loved the soaps they used in the bathroom. They were a bit bigger than you normally get at hotels and were such good quality. I love little details like that. I also loved the breakfast buffet which had so many options. My favorite was their yogurt which looked homemade. That had great Eastern and Western food options which I really appreciated.
