"For some reason my room card (room 413) wouldn't work on the 3rd evening, which was a problem as it was after 10.30 in the evening, and i was a single 69 year old traveller. I returned to reception and the card was reset, i returned again to the 4th floor to find it still wasn't working. A member of staff then escorted me to the access door on the 4th floor to ensure it worked the 3rd time."

"We were visiting friends and wanted a place near their home. This was a great location so close to the tram that we could either walk to their house and feel like a local at the surrounding shops and cafes or jump on a tram and be in the heart of Amsterdam in 10-15 minutes. We always love staying away from the crowd and this was awesome. The chef prepared Dutch pancakes for me as well even though he was only making American pancakes. "My stay was fantastic! The location was amazing, and the staff was friendly. I opted out of the breakfast, which was a mistake. I ended up adding it on later. I thought that I would be able to grab something at a local café, but nothing opened until around 10am. This could’ve been because of the time of year I went. "Great food at a low price! The staff are all warm and welcoming especially waiter Marcel who was friendly, polite and knowledgeable! The hotel room was very small, the pillows were terrible, we ran out of loo roll in the second day! There were only enough toiletries for one person and the iron didn't take a single crease out of my clothes! The room was quiet except for the hour when the church chimed! Parking is like a max 7 minutes walk so don't pay for it! We were advised it was 15-20 minutes...
